Dough & Kitchen Prep Cook

We are looking for someone who is passionate about dough making and has a love for pizza and perfecting the art of Neapolitan-style pizza to join our team.

Salary:  $20/hr

Tip Income:  No

Schedule:  Full-time and part-time positions available

Start Date:  Immediately

Duties

  • KEY ROLE: Manage pizza dough:

    • Make scratch pizza dough on a daily basis 

    • Mixing, kneading, proofing and managing pizza dough

    • Manage daily inventory levels and make dough according to daily sales requirements

  • Make beer cheese, chocolate chip cookies, cream cheese frosting, spanish peanuts and hummus according to established recipes

  • Portion pizza toppings and prepare fresh salad ingredients

  • Position requires measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other kitchen and food prep related equipment 

  • Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.

  • Receive, confirm and restock weekly ingredient deliveries 

  • Clean and restock workstations to ensure all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements​

  • Current food worker card or other certification as required by federal/state/local law

  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

  • General knife skills and understanding of kitchen safety 

  • Strong knowledge of a variety of baking and dough making techniques

  • Previous experience in a pizza restaurant or similar environment preferred

  • This is not a customer service position, however, it does require someone who works well as part of a team as well as independently

  • Communicate with kitchen manager and kitchen leads to ensure that pizza dough is performing to expectations and make adjustments as necessary
